INFANT CARE

Our Infant Program at Simple Learners provides full-time care for children from the early age of six weeks through to 18 months in a warm nurturing environment that feels like home. The infant program has been designed to ensure a consistent and smooth transition between home and our centre. By working collaboratively with parents, our educators get to understand your child’s routine and habits at home to ensure consistency with the daily schedule at the centre. The primary goal of our educators is to ensure that your child’s individual needs are met, as they create an environment in which your infant is stimulated and encouraged through age-appropriate learning experiences. Our play based learning program, allows infants, the opportunity to observe and interact with the physical world around them. by exploring through visual, sensory and motor skills, and stimulated through music, rhymes, books, toys and outdoor time. Infants begin to develop skills including cognitive, language, fine- and gross-motor, and social emotional skills.

TODDLER CARE

Our toddler program at Simple Learners has been carefully designed to support children’s transition from infant care to toddler care. The program is intended to meet the developmental needs of toddlers as they transition through stages in their development that include increased mobility, more regulated sleeping and eating patterns, and the exploration of the world around them. At this stage, there is focus is on developing self-confidence and self-help skills by participating daily in age-appropriate activities geared to developing their social and individual skills. Through exploration and interaction with both indoor and outdoor environments, toddlers learn and engage their curiosity. Our educators encourage different kinds of play and activities designed to enhance and focus a wide range of the toddlers’ skills, including; fine and gross motor, cognitive, discovering, communicating, creating, imagining, role-play, science, numbers, sensory exploration, self-help skills, language development, social awareness and positive problem-solving skills. ‍Our toddler program includes an introduction and transition to potty training, depending on the toddler’s readiness and in collaboration with parents.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM

Our preschool program at Simple Learners is designed to prepare and support the transition into the kindergarten school system. Our preschoolers are encouraged to build on the skills learned in the toddler program including fine and gross motor, cognitive, discovering, communicating, creating, imagining, role-play, science, numbers, sensory exploration, self-help skills, language development, social awareness and positive problem-solving skills.

Our educators work collaboratively with the children and parents to facilitate programming that is educational, fun and keeps the children’s interests engaged. Preschoolers are encouraged to participate in both large and small group activities, indoor and outdoor to further enhance their language, maths and logical reasoning, literacy, scientific exploration, social, emotional, cognitive and gross motor skills.

Our preschool program focuses on building trusting relationship, because we believe this helps our preschoolers feel secure in exploring the world around them. We value each child as an individual with interests, full of potential, hence, we provide developmental and age-appropriate learning materials and encourage our preschoolers to explore these interests in a safe and secure environment.

At Simple Learners, we want all children to reach their full potential, our Preschool Program prepares and supports children until they are age and developmentally ready to go to kindergarten.
